In my wall heater reviews I checked a wide variety of the most popular and most purchased wall heaters, it has really come down to 3 models that seem to fit the bill. These have been well received by consumers and in almost all cases, the comments are good. It seems no matter the product, there will always be the anomaly and that can happen to anyone with any product.
After considerable research and information exchange with other consumers, these arein my opinion the best products I can find on the market.
Holmes HFH442-UM Heater Fan with Adjustable Thermostat and ALCI Plug
This little guy is a lot more powerful than it looks. It was used for heating an entire one-car garage over the winter, and you might think such a small heater would fare well in the effort. Surprisingly, it did bring the temp in the garage up about 10 degrees. That is a lot for such a little heater!
If it can heat up a space 10x bigger than one it was intended for, it surely can heat up a smaller space (bathroom, bedroom, etc.) It is a bit loud at the high setting, but it blows out so much warm air that it’s worth it. It doesn’t have a tip over safety feature. Since this heater is quite thin I would say it could tip over.
If you have children or pets, you may need to consider that fact. You can mount this heater on the wall and then it cannot get knocked over by pets or children.
It is nice to have temperature control that will heat up a room and keep it warm. The Holmes HFH442-UM Heater is very easy to install and seems to do a very good job of heating a bathroom.
Also in my wall heater reviews I discovered this other very popular wall heater is the Broan #154 1250W Ceiling Mount Heater.
This has been reported an exact replacement for an identical NUTONE fan that had been in service for over 15 years.
When you need a quick bit of heat on a cold morning the Broan #154 ceiling mount heater is a perfect fit. The install is a breeze anyone should be able to do it. This unit heats up a cold morning in a jiffy. This unit is very affordable and easy to install.
They have been installed in addition to baseboard heaters in a cottage and the Broan heater is better than baseboards by far! The fan is a little loud but the heaters are easy to use and quick to warm up.
The Broan #154 1250W Ceiling Mount Heater works as well or better than other heaters that it has replaced. This heater has multiple wiring options to allow for 220v or 110v. Since our heaters were wired for 220 I was able to follow the directions in the box and have this heater up and running in about half an hour.
A contractor reports using these heaters for years in his contracting business. They really put out the heat and are easy to install.
This heater worked perfectly to replace the ceiling heater in our vacation home bathroom. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find one as the company that made the original has gone out of business. I didn’t want to switch to a different type of heat source and leave a hole in my ceiling.
It heats the room more efficiently than the old one and it is much quieter. It only took 5 minutes to replace. I’m very pleased – so much so that I bought a spare.
Another great little heater by Broan is the Broan 174 750/1500W 120 VAC Painted Grill Wall Heater
This fan has been reported to be a little noisy but this heater is easy to use and quick to warm up. It has multiple wiring options to allow for 220v or 110v. Since some people have heaters wired for 220, simply follow the instructions in the box and have this heater up and running in about half an hour. If you are looking for a heater fan unit that replaces your old Broan heater,this is a good choice.
This heater fan is an exact match to its decades old product. For the price it is a good product and users report it should last ten to fifteen years.
